Holger Hoffmann, Prof. Dipl.Ing. Architect AKNW

Holger Hoffmann is a registered architect based in Düsseldorf, Germany. In january 2009 he has found One Fine Day: office for architectural design.

In addition to his activities as a practicing architect Holger holds a professorship for architectural rendering techniques and design at the University of Wuppertal. From 2007-2011 he has led the department for digital design at the University of applied Sciences in Trier.

Prior to this Holger worked with UNStudio, Amsterdam, from 2002 until 2008 where he became senior architect in 2007. Here he has been responsible for the design and execution of projects worldwide, among which the Lelystad Theatre, The Netherlands, Five Franklin Place apartments, New York, and a larger condominium project in Singapore. previously holger collaborated with UNStudio/United Architects, New York, on the competition entry for the World Trade Center site in 2002, and with Bolles+Wilson, münster, on several projects and competitions in 2000/2001.

He has taught studios at numerous European universities such as the TU Delft, ABK Stuttgart, Berlage Institute Rotterdam, Arhus School of Architecture and the Münster School of Architecture. He has been lecturing at Chalmers University Gothenburg, Staedelschule Frankfurt, ABK Stuttgart, TU Kaiserslautern, TU Delft, and Universitat Politecnica de Valencia.

Holger Hoffmann received a postgraduate architecture diploma with distinction (sac hons.) in 2004 from Staatliche Hochschule der Bildenden Künste, Städelschule, Frankfurt. Furthermore he holds a professional degree in architecture Dipl.-Ing.(fh) from Münster School of Architecture, Germany. Before studying architecture he has spend two years after his a-levels as a mason apprentice, graduating with distinction.

Holgers work was awarded with the Konrad Adenauer stiftung-scholarship (2002-2004), the Taut preis 2005 of the German Architects Chamber, Berlin, and a honorable mention at Baukunstpreis 2012.

 

Hans-Peter Nünning, M.A.(Arch.) Architect AKNW

Hans-Peter is a registered architect with a professional degree in architecture (M.A.(Arch.)) from Münster School of Architecture, Germany. He is partner at One Fine Day: office for architectural design.

In addition to his activities as a practicing architect Hans-Peter has been teaching at a number of universities in Germany. Currently he performs as research associate at the University of Wuppertal, Germany.

Prior to his engagement with One Fine Day Hans-Peter worked as a designer with Zaha Hadid Architects, Hamburg, (from 2010 until 2012) as well as with UNStudio, Amsterdam from 2007 until 2010. In both offices he has worked on various international projects and award winning competitions covering all relevant scales from furniture design to urban scale-projects – including “Culenova – New City Centre”, Bratislava, “Tiflis multifunctional Complex”, Tiflis (all ZHA), or the “Changing Room”-installation at Venice Biennale 2009, Chicago’s “Burnham Pavilion”, the “Dance Palace”, St. Petersburg, “Raffles City”, Hangzhou, “The International Investment Square”, Beijing or Wilde and Spieth’s “New Amsterdam Chair” (all UNStudio).

 

Steffen Riegas, Architect M.A.(arch.)

Steffen is a registered architect with a professional degree in architecture (M.A.(Arch.)) from Münster School of Architecture, Germany. He is currently project manager and parametric designer (GXN innovation unit) at 3XN A/S in Copenhagen.

Prior to his engagement with 3XN Steffen worked with UNStudio, Amsterdam, (from 2007 until 2009) as well as with Herzog & de Meuron, Basel, from 2010 until 2012. In both offices he has worked as a parametric design specialist on various international projects and award winning competitions – including (a.o) New Hall, Basel, Switzerland; Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux; Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Madrid, Spain; Musée Unterlinden, Extension, Colmar, France; Skolkovo University District Masterplan, Skolkovo, Russia; Lyon, La Confluence Master Plan, Lyon, France; (all HdM) and “Raffles City Hangzhou, Hangzhou, China; Grand Hyatt Hotel, Frankfurt am Main, Germany; The Changing Room, Venice Biennale of Architecture; Arnhem Central – Transfer Hall, Arnhem, Netherlands; Driftwood & Silk Squares, Parador Laminates Edition ‘No Limits’ and Light*House, Aarhus, Denmark (all UNStudio).

Steffen has been teaching at numerous European Universities, such as the Berlage Institute Rotterdam, AdBK Stuttgart, FH Trier, Münster School of Architecture and FH Frankfurt.
